Let’s Talk Money…

There’s no doubt about it, signing up for the 2014 Novel-In-Progress Bookcamp is a significant investment.

It’s an investment in yourself, your writing, and the publishing path you want to follow. There’s a measure of courage needed to believe that strongly in your own abilities and desire to improve your skills and writing project.

We can’t promise absolute success for all of your ambitions, but we can promise the Bookcamp can easily be the best investment in your writing you ever make. You will leave the six-day Novel-In-Progress Bookcamp with an improved manuscript, a better understanding of today’s rapidly evolving publishing industry, and valuable advice to advance your writing skills.

The 2014 Bookcamp will be held May 18-24 at the Cedar Valley Center & Spa, a lovely 100-acre rural retreat center in southeast Wisconsin about a half hour northwest of Milwaukee and two hours north of Chicago.

Staffed by published authors, writing instructors, editors and literary agents, the Bookcamp is sponsored by the Wisconsin Writers Association joined this year by co-sponsor Chicago Writers Association.

One registration fee covers all Bookcamp expenses including room and board, classes, handouts, group critique and one-on-one mentoring sessions, guest speakers and special activities.

It costs nothing to apply. Simply submit the requested information about your work-in-progress and your writing goals to find out if you qualify. Then a $100, refundable deposit will reserve your spot as a 2014 Bookcamp writer.

We offer flexible installment payment options to complete the registration process. If you choose to cancel for whatever reason the entire fee is fully refundable up to May 1, 2014.

Through December, the cost of a single-room registration is $1,326 for members of the Chicago and Wisconsin Writers associations, $1,376 for nonmembers. Lower priced double rooms and discounts for commuters and couples also are offered. Prices will go up for late registrations after January 1.
