2017 Novel-in-Progress Bookcamp Scheduled for May

Have you been working on a novel for a while? Feeling a bit stuck?

Do you need experienced, individualized guidance to make some key decisions?

This 6-day writing camp, the Novel-in-Progress Bookcamp, located not far from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is looking forward to its fourth year. The intensive program is developing a reputation as a wonderful setting where emerging novelists with works-in-progress can get expert instruction, crucial feedback and advice, and inspiration to fuel the passion and discipline needed to finish a novel worthy of publication.

SJ Rozan at Wisconsin Novel-in-Progress BookcampThe week of writing instruction and discussion features award-winning mystery writer SJ Rozan, author of an acclaimed P.I. series featuring Chinese-American detective Lydia Chin and her Anglo colleague Bill Smith, books which have won an Edgar Award and many other honors. As Dennis Lehane said of her: “S.J. Rozan can write sentences that make my jaw literally drop. She’s as good a prose stylist as I’ve seen in a long, long time.”

Rozan is also accomplished as a workshop leader, teaching at regular workshops and retreat programs in New York City and Assisi, Italy.

The rest of the Novel-in-Progress Bookcamp’s teaching staff brings broad experience in the publishing world as authors, editors, indie publishers, and literary coaches.
