This is a remarkable chance to participate in a week of writing instruction and discussion, featuring acclaimed mystery writer SJ Rozan, author of many award-winning novels, and the rest of the Bookcamp’s staff of experienced professionals with broad experience in the publishing world – as authors, editors, publishers, and literary coaches – in an intensive week working on what your novel-in-progress needs to succeed.
It all takes place at the lovely Cedar Valley Center in the rolling southeastern Wisconsin countryside (35 miles northwest of Milwaukee, near West Bend; about 2 hours from Chicago), from May 15 to 21, 2016.
The camp is small, with just 12–15 writers, plus staff, so there’s plenty of time for personal attention in one-on-one and small-group discussions.
This year also offers a writing retreat option, with less instruction, idea for writers who mostly want to hole up with their projects in the midst of a supportive group of like-minded emerging novelists.
As of this posting (April 24), there’s still space available for a couple of full-time participants, and opportunities for single-day participation.
Hope you can join us for a beautiful springtime weekend, focused on making serious progress on your novel-in-progress in a great community of writers and instructors.
